I'm in the process of putting a Joomla website together for a friend.
I've added a contact form in Joomla so that people can get in touch with him. Once contacted, he will reply from his own email address.
Looking in Global Configuration/Server, I see there are three choices, PHP Mail, Sendmail and SMTP.
I would prefer not to put his personal email account details into the Joomla server settings so I think SMTP is out.
I guess I should use PHP Mail for this scenario but I don't understand how to set it up.
In Global Configuration there is a field for "From". Must I create an email address in the C-Panel of the server and put it in that field? If not, what do I need to do?
I'm totally new to this so thank you in advance.
